So, I know that most of you already knows this, but, Joe and I are having a baby girl. I wish I could have announced it earlier via the blog, but my internet was not cooperating. Anyway, she is now 10 ounces and around six inches. Joe is convinced the Dr. said 10 inches, but that would mean our little Nugget is on track to be like 6 feet tall, and somehow I am doubtful. We got to see her moving around like crazy, and mom and dad were there, so they got their first up close meeting with grandbaby number 2, which was great!
Mom brought me some maternity clothes from Al, which is going to be really nice this summer. Our baby girl also got her first pink things from the mom of one of my students. I always had a bit of an aversion to pink, but all the baby items she got us have convinced me that pink can be very cute! My mom and dad already ordered her crib and mattress, so Joe and I hope to get started on transforming one of our guest rooms this week. I also registered on Pottery Barn, because I couldn't resist, and Alison is going to help us register at Babies R Us on Monday after Liv's big wedding shower. I am so excited to see my whole family this week, and spend quality time getting ready for the wedding and obsessing that adorable little niece of mine!
I will put up a new belly pic as soon as Joe and I can get one taken. He has been very busy at work, which leaves very little time for pressing matters like belly pics. We did get 12 pictures of our baby Nugget on Monday, and here are a few:
This one I love! You can really see her little face. My dad is convinced she already has my nose!
Who doesn't love baby toes?
You can see her little hand up above her mouth. She just stopped sucking her thumb. Look at that belly! We may have a little Buddha baby on our hands!

Sooo....exciting! Another baby girls to spoil! Thanks so much for letting Dad and I come and be there on the day you found out what you were having! Love ya, Mom

ReplyDeleteDon't worry daddy is right the baby is 10 inches. But in mommys defense the baby is 6 inches head to rump. Which is how they measure her the first 20 weeks. Now that she is a big girl she is measured head to toe.
I can't wait to get my hands on that little baby!! Great pics~she's beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Sarah & Joe, on little Miss Nugget!!! Thoroughly enjoyed your mother yesterday at our girlfriend luncheon and she passed on your blog address to me. So fun to keep up with people and their blogs:) Take care now and know you guys are in our thoughts & prayers. Grandbabies are the best - I can truly speak from experience now. Cassie & Justin's Brody Michael is wonderful, fabulous, and perfect in every way!!!! Your Mom & Dad are so incredibly blessed to have a second granddaughter on the way:) Hugs, Julie
